We use Our Sunday Visitor - Alive In Christ text books.  Each child receives his or her own book.

By the end of Kindergarten the students should demonstrate the following understandings:

  • Jesus is God's Son and He reveals God's love to us.

  • Mary is the mother of Jesus, Joseph is the foster father of Jesus and husband of Mary, and Jesus, Mary and Joseph are called the Holy Family.

  • God created each person and loves them as they are, and He is the loving Creator of all things.

  • God gives us many people to love, and Jesus came to teach us to love God, ourselves, and all people of every race, age, culture, and ability.

  • The Bible is a special book that tells us about God's love.

  • We communicate with God through different prayer experiences. The children should begin to learn, The Lord's Prayer, The Hail Mary, and The Sign of The Cross.

  • The Mass is a special meal that Jesus celebrates with His family, and during the Mass, Jesus is with us in a special way.
